Field experience hours to provide a first-hand look at various aspects of Sports Tourism, available to Undergraduate and Graduate Students.

Credit Program:

The Program provides students with an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the Sports Tourism Industry. Interns work in various areas that may involve planning, executing, and marketing events. Individuals will work directly with staff, helping to ensure memorable experiences for all event attendees.

Qualifications:

 

  • A background in Sports Management or related field is preferred
  • Demonstrate leadership capabilities
  • Excelled oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent verbal communication and relationship building skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Available to work on weekends during events

Make an Impact

Play Treasure Coast Sports Tourism's High School Scholar Athlete  Awards recognizes both a male and female scholar athlete from all public and private schools in Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin and Okeechobee Counties.  A total of 20 schools are recognized.  All nominees must be scholar athletes, demonstrating leadership skills, exhibiting strength of character plus serving as a role model for others on and off the playing field. All donated funds will directly support the High School  Scholar Athlete Awards, which is held annually in May at the Sunrise Theatre in Fort Pierce.


Play Treasure Coast Sports Tourism is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to  attract State, Regional, National and International sports-related events to the Treasure Coast Region to enhance the economic impact through sports tourism.
