For the 2nd consecutive year, over 30 teams will arrive on the Treasure Coast to compete against other teams from around the country for the World Series title.   Teams will begin their World Series experience with the Cal Ripken Experience at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center on Sunday, Aug 4th, followed by the Opening Ceremony, on Monday, Aug. 5th at Indian Riverside Park in Jensen Beach.  All teams and age groups will begin with seed play, Aug. 6-8, followed by Bracket play, Aug. 9-10 and Championship Day on Friday, Aug. 10th.

The Florida Women’s Open and Senior Open, hosted in Vero Beach, will be played at two of the finest private club in the entire state, Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club and co-host, John’s Island Club. Players will play 18 holes on each course before a 36 hole cut is made.

 RBI Baseball & Softball World Series

Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) will be entering its 31st year of play in 2019. From its inception in 1989 through the 2018 season, RBI has grown from a local program for boys in South Central Los Angeles to an international campaign encompassing more than 200 cities and as many as 150,000 male and female participants per year. In 2010, Jr. RBI was launched, designed to create new playing divisions that provide baseball and softball opportunities for children ages 5-12 that also serve as a feeder to the age 13-18 baseball and softball divisions.

For First Time in International Championship Tournament’s History, games for both Baseball & Softball will be held at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex in Vero Beach, Florida. Championship games of both Baseball and Softball to be streamed LIVE on MLB.com 
Twenty-four baseball and softball teams have advanced to the 27th edition of the Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) World Series, which will be hosted for the first time at its new permanent home – the Jackie Robinson Training Complex in Vero Beach, Fla. The event will operate with the baseball portion first, featuring 16 teams separated by the Junior (ages 13-15) and Senior (ages 16-18) divisions from Sunday, August 4th until Friday, August 9th. Softball will feature eight teams (ages 19 and under) from Saturday, August 10th until Thursday, August 15th. The RBI World Series is the international championship tournament of the RBI program, the MLB youth initiative designed to provide young people from under-served and diverse communities the opportunity to play baseball and softball at a competitive level.

The Vero Cup is one of three soccer tournaments hosted by Kickoff Soccer that take place in Vero Beach throughout the year. Kickoff Soccer’s tournaments are open to male and females and have a strong reputation in the state of Florida. All Kickoff Soccer tournaments are stay to play events. Teams continue to come to Vero Beach to get the full experience of a great small town and great venues.

Treasure Coast Swimming Sprint

Treasure Coast Swimming offers four swim meets a year with help from the North County Aquatic Center in Sebastian. The Sprint Invitational will bring in 15 teams with an average of 30 athletes per team over the two day meet. The Treasure Coast Swimming Club partners with USA Swimming and Florida Swimming to make these great swim meets happen.

Butch Harmon Golf Invitational PGA Hope

This event is a 36-hole invitational tournament and it has the backing of the most famous teacher in the game, Butch Harmon. Butch Harmon has been involved in golf for more than 49 years and made a name for himself on the PGA Tour. Butch has also been voted on as the top instructor by his peers.  

There will be two rounds of Four-Ball play with the top two teams advancing to the final. A Short Course Competition will also be held.

Players competing will come from High Schools all over the state of Florida.  The proceeds after covering the cost of the event will benefit the PGA HOPE Chapter at PGA Golf Club.

Labor Day Beach Bash
